Rohrer CO2 Laser

In Northridge and Simi Valley

The latest skin tightening technology everyone is talking about

What is Fractional CO2 Laser?

Phoenix is a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser,

adjustable to different treatment intensities, that effectively addresses:

  • Skin laxity, crepiness, uneven texture
  • Fine to moderately deep wrinkles
  • Unwanted pigmentation and dark spots
  • Scars and stretch marks
  • Signs of aging on the hands
  • Women’s wellness

How does Phoenix work?

Rohrer CO2 Laser delivers laser energy divided thousands of tiny infrared light columns (“fractional”) to vaporize the water-rich top skin layer and heat the tissue below.

This resurfaces the skin and stimulates new collagen growth for a dramatically rejuvenated appearance Extending rejuvenation beyond the face.

The Phoenix device includes SwiftScan, the first and only FDA-cleared hand

rejuvenation laser. Using a state-of the-art automated scanner, this technology addresses the tell-tale signs of aging on the hands in under 60 seconds!

Plus, with all the capabilities of a CO2 laser, Phoenix may also be used for

vaginal rejuvenation. Ask your provider how the Phoenix laser can help alleviate certain women’s intimate concerns and improve overall well-being.

What Can Fractionaed CO2 Treat?

CO2 laser  treatment sessions offer many benefits including:

  • Improves complexion, appearance of sun damage, and rough or uneven skin texture
  • Remodels tissue and skin with minimal risk of hyperpigmentation.
  • Surface renewal: The laser removes microscopic columns of skin tissue. As the treated areas heal, new skin develops, helping improve roughness and surface irregularities.
  • Collagen remodeling: Heat surrounding the treatment columns causes collagen contraction and activates wound healing, encouraging new collagen production and remodeling beneath the surface.
  • Triggers the body’s replenishment of collagen, resulting in a fuller, more youthful appearance
  • Reduces wrinkles, deep lines, stretchmarks, and acne scarring
  • Improves Skin Laxity ( Tightening Skin)
  • Acne Scar improvements
  • Keloid scar and surgical scar improvements

What Is CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

A carbon dioxide, or CO2, laser delivers concentrated light energy at a wavelength of 10,600 nanometers. Water within the skin absorbs this energy, allowing the laser to precisely vaporize targeted tissue. Because it removes tissue, CO2 resurfacing is called an “ablative” treatment.

Fractional CO2 resurfacing divides that energy into microscopic treatment columns rather than treating the entire skin surface uniformly. Untreated skin between these columns supports healing, generally allowing less downtime than traditional fully ablative CO2 resurfacing.

What Does CO2 Laser Actually Do?

CO2 laser resurfacing works in two connected ways:

  • Surface renewal: The laser removes microscopic columns of skin tissue. As the treated areas heal, new skin develops, helping improve roughness and surface irregularities.
  • Collagen remodeling: Heat surrounding the treatment columns causes collagen contraction and activates wound healing, encouraging new collagen production and remodeling beneath the surface.ncbi.nlm.nih+1

Collagen is a structural protein that helps support skin firmness. This combination of resurfacing and deeper remodeling can improve texture and soften wrinkles over time—not simply give the skin a temporary glow. A review in Seminars in Plastic Surgery describes these mechanisms and the clinical role of fractional CO2 resurfacing. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih

What Can CO2 Laser Treatment Improve?

Depending on your skin and treatment settings, CO2 laser resurfacing may improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Sun-damaged skin and uneven pigmentation.
  • Rough or uneven texture.
  • Certain depressed acne scars.
  • Mild skin laxity.ncbi.nlm.nih+2

It does not erase every scar or replace a surgical facelift. Results depend on your concerns, skin characteristics, and treatment intensity.mayoclinic

Comfort, Recovery, and Safety

At NewSkin Laser Center, we provide topical numbing cream to help minimize discomfort. Sensations vary, so we discuss comfort needs and expectations beforehand rather than promise a painless experience.

Expect downtime. Redness, swelling, peeling, and crusting can occur, with recovery depending on treatment depth and coverage. Pigmentation changes, infection, and scarring are possible; darker skin tones require particularly careful assessment. Sun protection and following aftercare instructions are essential.ncbi.nlm.nih+1

Skin renewal continues beyond initial healing, and collagen-related improvements develop gradually. Your consultation helps establish realistic expectations for both recovery and results.mayoclinic
